Joohyung Song, worked for Samsung SDS, mainly focusing on new business development, for more than 3 years. Then, Mr. Song joined Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) in 2008 as an investment strategist and contributed to set up the global alternative investment platform of KIC including: private equity, real estate, and hedge fund. Mr. Song also initiated the strategic investment platform of KIC in 2010 and became a private equity manager thereafter. Since 2014, Mr. Song has developed a community of domestic institutional investors for overseas investment and pursued co-investing with the members of the community. Additionally, Mr. Song was in charge of global investment networking with sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, representing at the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds and creating CROSAPF, Co-investment Roundtable Of Sovereign and Pension Funds. Mr. Song now works as a Managing Director of WWG.
Mr. Song graduated from Yonsei University with a B.S. in Computer Science and Industrial System Engineering. He earned a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from KAIST, and a M.S. in International Development from the London School of Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.
